Open enrollment for Medicare Part D, or prescription insurance with Medicare, will start earlier this year.
Program Director at the Sheridan Senior Center, Mary Anderson, explains how the open enrollment will be a little bit different this year.
There are 33 different plans for Medicare Part D in Sheridan with varying premiums. Next year, the maximum deductible will go up to $320, up from where it currently sits at $310.
Another thing the Sheridan Senior Center wants people to know about is the donut hole, or the gap in Medicare Part D, the time you are no longer paying 100 percent. Anderson explains.
Anyone with questions about Medicare Part D, or other various Senior Center programs can call the center at 672-2240.
