Come next month, the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce office will be relocating to 171 North Main Street, which is a space soon to be vacated by Sheridan College.
The information's coming Chamber CEO Dixie Johnson. She said relocation has been an item on the chamber administration's long-term strategic plan for more than a decade, and is a testament to the strength of the current and past board members that the goal is coming to fruition.
The chamber office is currently located at the Wyoming Visitor's Information Center on East 5th Street, long with the Sheridan Travel and Tourism office. Through an annual agreement with the Wyoming Office of Tourism, both organizations have shared duties of running the visitor's center.
Now, she said, with the positive changes the chamber and Sheridan Travel and Tourism have seen in recent years, it's become increasingly evident that both organizations have outgrown the shared location. She said the move will provide a larger and more flexible space for the chamber offices, while offering room for expansion in the current location for the travel and tourism organization. All services provided by both organizations are expected to continue, without interruption.
