A father and son displayed the utmost courage with their heroic efforts on Soldier Creek Road in Sheridan this past Saturday. Sheridan resident Mike Dupuis Jr. explains the accident that he and his father encountered while out helping a friend track a deer.

Dupuis said that that's when they drove to the scene of the accident to find a male and female passenger in the vehicle.

Dupuis stated that there was no time to think about what they were doing, as they both he and his father just reacted to the situation.

Both Mike and his Dad, Mike Dupuis Sr., were presented with a Certificate of Valor Tuesday at the Sheridan County Sheriff's Office for their courageous actions that may have saved the lives of two individuals. The two that were involved in the accident were local adult siblings, and the Sheriff's Office has confirmed that alcohol played a role in the crash.
