We earlier reported about two community blood drives that will be taking place in Sheridan and Buffalo over the next couple of weeks. Donor Recruitment Specialist Mike Frigon with United Blood Services talks about what blood types are needed the most.
Frigon says that donating blood sometimes takes a backseat when the holidays are near.
The blood drive in Sheridan will take place next Monday (Nov.18) from noon to 6, and Tuesday (Nov.19) from 11 to 5:30 at the Best Western Sheridan Center on North Main Street.
The Buffalo blood drive will be held Monday, November 25, from 1 to 6 at the Johnson County Fairgrounds Community Building. While walk-ins are always welcome, organizers are strongly recommending that appointments be made in advance.
To make an appointment for the Sheridan blood drive you can call 1-800-365-4450 or log on to www.bloodhero.com (sponsor code: sheridan). To make an appointment in Buffalo, call 307-763-4339.
