The Central Wyoming Counseling Center, a non-profit community behavioral health and substance abuse treatment center, recently received $25,000 in grant funding. The grant came from the Blue Envelope Health Fund, which has played a major role in the CWCC since its inception in 1959.
According to a media release, the Blue Envelope symbolizes commitment to promoting community health in Natrona County and central Wyoming. They've been committed to education, prevention and early detection - with the focus on cancer - heart disease, mental health and overall wellness.
The $25,000 grant covered the costs for updated defibrillators for CWCC buildings, as well as improving the care of its clients through assessment and treatment of medical conditions.
