The Sheridan Fire-Rescue Department responded to a vehicle fire on North Scott Street at approximately 10:20 Wednesday morning.
Sheridan Fire Marshal Brian Songer explains that once on scene, firefighters quickly contained the blaze.
The 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier is owned by Linda Simmons. Songer said that the fire did not result in any injuries and that the personal belongings in the vehicle were able to be salvaged. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.

So let's see. Sheridan Fire / Rescue responded quickly and professionally. They quickly estinguished the fire limiting damage to the vehicle and its contents. They had the proper equipment to do the job, including their LARGE red fire truck. AND they still get critized. WOW!?!?!?!
