At their last meeting the Johnson County Commissioners discussed Capital Improvements and airport cleanup with County Planner Rob Yingling, who updated them on his progress in both matters.
Yingling was tasked with developing forms for the county departments to submit for their capital improvements “wish list,” which he completed, and he asked for guidance from the commissioners.
The commissioners advised him to proceed.
Commissioner John Gibbs explained that an adjacent landowner at the airport has a trailer that has had material blown out of and off of it by the wind and onto the county-owned airport property.
Gibbs suggested a letter be drafted and give them time to clean their mess off of county property or the county will clean it and send them a bill.
The commissioners agreed to have Deputy County Attorney Bary Crago draft a letter informing the landowner of their wishes.
