Voters in Sheridan County overwhelmingly were in support of the capital facilities tax, as almost 68 percent voted in favor of renewal of the tax in Tuesday's election. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more.
It became apparent early in the evening when the results started coming in that the cap tax renewal was going to be approved. I spoke with Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey shortly after it became official.
Kinskey says that there was a lot to be learned leading up to the election.
The $40 million cap tax that was approved by voters will go toward infrastructure projects in Sheridan County, Sheridan, Clearmont, Ranchester and Dayton over the next 8 years.
