The first of two candidate forums hosted by the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee was held Wednesday night at the Sheridan College CTEL. Candidates for Dayton Town Council as well as Sheridan City Council Ward One were on the schedule for night one of the forums, however; the highlight of the evening was the mayoral candidates for the City of Sheridan.
The mayoral debate actually started off with three candidates, that is until John Self exited stage left when he was asked to be respectful in his remarks after saying that “the days of Hitler are upon us” and his reference to current Mayor Dave Kinskey as a “playboy”.
Each candidate took a different approach when making their closing remarks. Mayoral candidate Steve Brantz.
Now, Mayor Dave Kinskey.
Tonight's candidate forum will include among others, Sheridan County Commissioner candidates and the candidates for State Senate District 22. It too will take place at the Sheridan College CTEL at 7 pm. Both candidate forums will be re-broadcast on cable channel 21 at 10 am and 6 pm this Saturday, next Wednesday, and next Saturday.
