In a media release from Sheridan College, we learn that C&K Equipment has donated a 2002 Bobcat 864 skid steer to the Diesel Technology Program. The compact, track loading skid steer will allow Sheridan College students to develop skills in hydraulics, electronics and heavy duty electrical systems.

Diesel instructor John Sikkenga says the company has a long history of supporting the program, and this donation will help "to provide the very best curriculum" for the students to "better prepare them for their futures.”

The bobcat has a dedicated track system designed to allow for all season -- especially mud-season -- operation, but more importantly, it has two high-torque hydrostatic motors, coupled directly to the track system, which will provide relevant learning and teaching opportunities for the program.
