The weather should be pleasant for trick-or-treating this Halloween with temperatures in the sixties this afternoon. It could be a very busy day for those who wish to try and attend all the scary festivities. The day kicks off with the annual Pet-o-Ween contest in Kendrick Park at 11 this morning.
That event leads right into Joeys Haunted House at Joeys Fly Fishing Foundation in downtown Sheridan. The haunted house begins at noon and runs until 4.
Sheridan College is hosting a very unique event this afternoon, called the Halloween Science Circus. At 2 o'clock today the chemistry and physics departments of Sheridan College and Northwest Wyoming College in Powell will demonstrate the science of Halloween at the Sheridan Junior High School auditorium.
Kids can start getting their fill of candy at 3 o'clock during the Sheridan Recreation District Halloween event at the old Highland Park School, followed closely by the Family Fall Fun Fest at the Wesleyan Church and trick-or-treating for kids at the Westview Healthcare Center.
Drivers should be careful as young children will be out tonight and may be hard to spot in dark costumes while continuing their quest for the ultimate sugar high.
