The Lighted Christmas Parade was in downtown Buffalo Saturday evening. The event was full of shopping, fun, and free chili.
The day began early with the sales at area retailers.
Shoppers also had choices at the Downtown Shopping Showcase at Deerfield's throughout the day, the Christmas Kids Shop at St Luke's Lutheran Church, the “Surprise You” sale at St. Luke's Episcopal Church and the Buffalo Children's Center Christmas Bazaar at the fairgrounds.
Those with an artistic touch decorated a gingerbread house provided by Sheridan College in Johnson County.
The annual free Chili Feed, put on by the Chamber of Commerce with help from area merchants, is always a hit with hot chocolate and coffee was provided by the Buffalo Lion's Club.
After the parade, the Buffalo Senior Center offered treats as well.
The 28th annual Lighted Christmas Parade, with the theme “Christmas Wishes” featured roughly 30 different entries that were judged in many different categories.
Winners of each category will be announced by the Chamber on Monday.
