The Wyoming Business Council Board will meet in Cheyenne Thursday, December 1st to hear updates from three of its operational divisions as well as review applications for Business Ready Community and Community Development Block Grant funds.
Of the three grant requests involving the City of Sheridan, one is a BRC grant that has to do with providing infrastructure to land the City recently acquired in the Sheridan Commercial Park in southeast Sheridan. City Planning Director Robert Briggs.
The City is also requesting a CDBG in the amount of $500,000 to purchase the Wilson Land Trust property adjacent to the Sheridan YMCA and a planning only grant in the amount of $15,000 to develop a capital campaign to construct the National Headquarters for the National American Indian, Alaskan, and Hawaiian Educational Development Center.
Sheridan County is also requesting $491,700 in CDBG funds to construct 900 square feet of ground floor space and renovate 1,000 feet in the existing Public Health building to accommodate the Free Clinic of Sheridan County.
