The Wyoming Business Council approved nearly $11 million in grant applications Thursday in Riverton. The Business Council approved 2.5 million for infrastructure for a high-tech business park in Sheridan and $978,000 for Sheridan County to purchase office space for a high-tech business incubator. The high-tech business park would be located on 38.5 acres of land north of Sheridan that was part of the Wrench Ranch annexation and subsequent land swap between the City and the Wrench Ranch. While no definitive plans are set, the City of Sheridan and Forward Sheridan have discussed the idea of using the location for businesses looking for an off-site data storage center.
The final decision on the Business Ready Community grants will be made by the State Loan and Investment Board on Thursday June 17th.
