23-year-old Destiny Pyke of Sheridan appeared in 4th Judicial District Court Wednesday on three separate cases. Pyke had her probation revoked on a felony burglary charge and two forgery charges. She was also sentenced for the January 16, 2010 burglary of Quizno's in Sheridan. Pyke's Defense Attorney Shelley Cundiff argued for the Court to show leniency, citing her client's rough childhood that lead her to a life of crime. Prosecuting Attorney Christopher LaRosa countered with an array of instances where Pyke was given opportunities to turn her life around, and chose not to do so.
4th Judicial District Court Judge John Fenn sentenced Pyke to 3 to 5 years in the Wyoming Women's Center on each probation revocation, with the sentences to run concurrently. Fenn also sentenced Pyke to 3 to 5 years on the latest burglary charge. That sentence will run consecutive to each of the probation revocation sentences.
