Building Inspector Has Concerns at Crazy Woman Square

Buffalo's Building Inspector, Toby Rhoades, has some concerns at the Crazy Woman Square building that he feels should be addressed by the city council.

Rhoades told them at their last meeting that the downspouts are causing ice to collect at the outlets, essentially creating “ice-skating rinks” near them. He suggested the city needs to find a permanent solution before next winter.

Also discussed was the stainless steel fixtures at the building that have corroded.
Councilman Dave Long asked what Rhoades had found concerning the
fixtures.

He reported that 100 of 193 contractors have renewed their licenses with the city as of the time of the meeting.

And Rhoades told the council he has not looked any further into his possible move from City Hall to the old Clear Creek School building.
