Buffalo's Sports Complex Progressing Toward Completion

At their last meeting the Buffalo City Council was updated on various ongoing projects including the new Sports Fields Complex which is scheduled for completion this Spring.

City/County Engineer Wayne Hill said fence fabric has been installed and backstops for the baseball/softball fields will begin installation before the end of the month. Electrical transformers are in and the contractor has begun installing sheet rock on the inside of the snack shack/restroom facility.

The city has participated in grant application meetings with the State Lands and Investments Board (SLIB) for funding of the project to cut some of the top of old High School Hill on South Burritt Avenue for traffic safety purposes.

And the toilets in the restrooms at Crazy Woman Square are still awaiting replacement parts before they can be repaired.

The Wesleyan Church has been permitted to begin construction on a youth building, according to City Building Inspector Toby Rhoades, but construction isn't expected to begin until next month.
