Buffalo's second annual “Longmire Days” will be happening August 17th and 18th this year, and already it will be bigger, better and offer more fun things to do than last year's kickoff event.
For those who may be unfamiliar with Longmire, the books, TV series, or local author Craig Johnson, Angela Jarvis, Director of the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce, tells us a little more about them.
Last year's event, essentially a book signing, could have included some of the actors from the TV series had they known about it in time to schedule appearances. This year time was set aside for them to see the town their show is based on.
Buffalo will become “Durant,” county seat of Absaroka County during the weekend. Rainier Beer (Longmire's favorite) will be bringing beer and the Wild Rainiers for the weekend. Clear Creek Brewing Company will be brewing Absaroka Ale and Up In Smoke will serve Longmire dishes from the books and TV show.
Jarvis tells us who to expect in attendance at this year's event.
Robert Taylor, who plays Sheriff Walt Longmire, is already comitted, according to Jarvis, and the rest of the cast is expected to decide this week who will be able to attend.
