The American Cancer Society will have its Buffalo Relay For Life event this Friday and Saturday at George Grace Field.
The Relay For Life events raise money for cancer research, and help cancer patients with services and programs through the American Cancer Society.
Nicole Marron, Community Relationship Manager with Relay For Life, said most people will be touched by cancer at some point in their lifetime.
The Relay events begin Friday afternoon with the Earlybird Walk at 4pm along with registration, a silent auction and luminaria sales.
The Survivor's reception will begin at 5pm and opening ceremonies will begin at 6 with a victory lap afterwards for cancer survivors. Team laps will then begin.
The Children's Luminaria Ceremony will begin at 8:45 and the regular Luminaria Ceremony will begin at 9.
Activities and games for both children and adults will be offered throughout the night and the Relay will close Saturday morning with breakfast at 6am and closing ceremonies at 7:30.
Marron tells us more about the Relay itself.
For those that cannot stay for the events, donations will be accepted during the Relay.
