The 4th Annual Pumpkin Festival will be happening Friday afternoon in Buffalo's Crazy Woman Square downtown from 3 to 6 pm.
The event has been put on by 3-Way, Inc. in years past, but because of a merger, a new company will be in charge this year, according to the company's Human Resources Assistant Michelle Jensen.
The festival is a chance for kids to pick out and decorate their very own pumpkin for Halloween, to play games and for families to get together with others in the community for an evening of fun.
Northstar Energy representatives, as always, will be asking for donations of canned goods for the Bread of Life Food Pantry as admission.
The event is one of the larger ones in Buffalo this time of year, according to Jensen, who said last year more than 1,000 people showed up in the square.
Jensen said Northstar has always looked forward to the event and will continue to do so in the future.
