The annual Buffalo Community-Wide Garage Sale was this past Saturday, and many came out to find hidden gems, great deals and to help out a few worthy causes in the process.

Twenty seperate sales were listed in the paper and a number of others seemed to just spring up to take advantage of the crowds already out and about.

One sale benefitted a women's organization, P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization), and Tammy Kramer explains how they help local women.

For those wanting to make a donation, contact Kramer at 684-0350.

Also supporting a good cause, another sale was raising money for the Buffalo High School Bison Marching Band to help cover travel expenses for them to participate in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in New York City this fall.

To contribute to the BHS Marching Band, contact the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce at 684-5544.

No final tallies for either fundraiser were available Saturday.
