Buffalo's annual City-wide Cleanup is this week, where all city residents can take advantage of free trips to the landfill to spruce up their properties.
Starting Wednesday, city residents with proof of residency (city water bill) can pick up vouchers they can use through Saturday to take one or numerous loads of refuse to the county landfill. Only one voucher will be given per address, but it can be used many times as long as the same vehicle is used.
City Building Inspector Toby Rhoades, who is in charge of the annual cleanup, tells us more about it.
All garbage, refuse, yard debris and other non-hazardous materials will be accepted and residents are encouraged to recycle what they can before heading to the landfill. All loads must tarped or inside a covered trailer, as always.
Vouchers will be issued Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at Buffalo's City Hall.
