The Second Annual Buffalo Art Chalk Festival was this past weekend and although there were some issues with weather, the festival was a good time for those participating and for those enjoying the artwork.
According to Marie Verger, with the Buffalo Downtown Association, who sponsored and put on the event, people participated in the Friday workshops and then put their learning to good use Saturday for the festival.
She tells us more about the festival and the hardships faced by the
Verger said although the weather was a slight problem, there were people up and down Main Street all day, checking out the artwork and stopping by local merchants, which is the benefit to having the events downtown.
Based on the last two year's success, Verger said plans will begin soon for the third annual BDA Art Chalk Festival for 2013.
