Buffalo Water Line Break Prompts Grant App For Replacement

The city water line break that resulted in ther closure of Buffalo High School earlier this week has moved City Works Director Les Hook to request permission from the city council to prepare a grant application to the Wyoming Water Development Commission for funding to replace the inferior line from the south storage tank that supplies water to the southern part of the city.

Hook discussed the issue with the council at Tuesday's meeting.

The council also awarded the bid for sprinklers at the new sports fields complex.

Two bids were received, one from Midland Implement of Billings for $31,174.48 and the other from Rob Lueders Enterprises for $38,544.

The award went to Midland Implement.

The sprinklers are the “big gun” type that will cover the sports fields more efficiently.
