Buffalo students participated in this year's FLL or First Lego League competition earlier this month in Casper, and came home with a number of trophies for their efforts.
Their teacher, Julie Snyder, explained the competition to the school board at their meeting December 12th.
The competition, she said, teaches core values of teamwork and gracious professionalism. This year's presentation was on food safety, and the three teams; a fifth-grade team from Clear Creek School, and a sixth-grade team and a seventh-eighth grade team from Clear Creek Middle School, took three awards at the competition.
More than sixty teams competed at the Casper Events Center, and awards brought home were a First Place and a Second Place in the Robot Challenge as well as a First Place in Presentation.
