One of two street cuts recently repaired on West Fetterman in Buffalo at the site of the new criminal justice center.

The Buffalo City Council wanted street cuts made for the new criminal justice center in West Fetterman filled and patched, and they finally have been. Johnson County News Director for Sheridan Media, Aaron Palmer, with the story.

The council, at their November 16th meeting, drafted a letter to Groathouse Construction, giving them until November 30th to complete the repairs to the road or the City would fix the street cuts themselves and charge them for the work. At last week's council meeting, it was announced that the repairs had been made.

Councilman Bruce Hepp said the City had received complaints about the street cuts before they were repaired.

Hepp said the contractor had the repairs done by the requested date.

Both street cuts for the water and sewer taps for the criminal justice center have been repaired, Hepp said, but they may have to be permanently fixed at a later date.

Originally there was some question whether the contractor would be able to fix the cuts, but with some help from the City, Hepp said, they were able to do the repair.
