The Buffalo Senior Center is in need of a new roof, and has approached the Buffalo City Council for permission to get it replaced.
Burley Johnson and Sally Frost with the Buffalo Senior Center told the Council they needed direction in how to go about getting the roof replaced, and wondered if it was possible to still get it done before the snow flies.
The Council suggested the senior center handle the estimate process to save time.
After discussions, the Council agreed that the senior center can get estimates, with the help of the City Planner to make sure the Requests for Proposals process is handled properly.
The new roof will have to be bid out if the estimates come back at $35,000 or over, according to the discussions, but the Council is leaning toward bidding the project anyway.
After the estimates are returned, the Council will make a decision on how to proceed next.
