Local authorities are still searching for the suspect or suspects who broke into the Boys & Girls Club of the Big Horns building in Buffalo.
Club Director Lisa Mueller said the break-in occurred some time between May 31 and June 2. She said 10 windows were broken and an XBox 360 was stolen. The windows at the club are not tempered, she said, so broken glass shards were found in the carpet, couches and bean bag chairs making them unsafe to use.
The destroyed bean bag chairs struck a cord with her and the staff, she said, because club members had recently purchased the items with money earned from fund raising. She expects the damages could add up to around $3,000, but is currently waiting for insurance adjusters to officially assess the damage.
She said the Buffalo Police Department has narrowed down a few possible suspects, but, to her knowledge, no one has been arrested. We do have a call in to the Buffalo Police Department, so expect to have more details later today.
