Buffalo Police Chief: Runaway Found Safe

A Buffalo youth was reported as a runaway early Thursday morning, and Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder notified local media asking for the public's help in locating 11-year old Ethan Crawford they said ran away from his home in Buffalo that morning.

According to Chief Carder, at about 8:30 Thursday morning, Crawford ran away from his home located at 700 West Gatchell Street.

Carder said the Johnson County Sheriff's Office and Search and Rescue also helped in finding Crawford, and they also issued a Code Red notification to all of Johnson County.
He was last seen near the intersection of Burritt and Gatchell early in the morning, according to Carder.

At about 11:30 that morning, Chief Carder reported that the boy had been found and was safe.

Chief Carder said the incident is still under investigation and no other information is available at this time.
