The Buffalo City Council and other City employees were in Cheyenne last week to participate in the Wyoming Association of Municipalities Winter Workshops.
Buffalo Mayor Randy Dyess said there are two workshops each year -- one in the winter and one in the summer. He explains what happens at the winter workshop and why it corresponds with the Legislature.
Dyess said the City employees attend seminars and meetings and receive invaluable training on how state government works.
Dyess wanted all the new city employees and council members to attend the WAM meetings and encouraged everyone interested to attend. Attending were himself, council members Bruce Hepp, Russ Humphrey, Stan Lakin and Bill Hawley as well as city planner Zach Montgomery, he said.
Dyess gave his assessment of the WAM meetings and the experiences with it.
