At the Buffalo City Council meeting this week, Mayor Randy Dyess read a proclamation designating this Sunday, September 24th as “Family Day-A Day To Eat Dinner With Your Children.”
The Mayor cited a Columbia Universtiy study that found a connection between families that frequently spend time together, including eating dinner together, and less of a likelihood of those teenagers developing problems with tobacco, drugs and alcohol.
Councilman Bill Hawley also had a comment about the proclamation and urged families to participate.
