The City of Buffalo and Johnson County are looking into which entity owns the property under the justice center and the courtroom facility currently under construction.
City Attorney Ben Kirven reported to the council at last week's meeting that he is checking to find if there was an agreement of some sort between the two entities.
Also at the meeting, Kirven told the council he is waiting for the agreement on the easement from the last property owner on the water transmission line project to be signed and returned to him.
He said he hoped to have that finished before the holidays. The Kirven Trust, he said, was considering an access to the sewer line near the high school in exchange for the easement for the Cemetery Road Pathway Project in place of monetary compensation.
He said he had not received a formal response from the Trust, but was expecting it shortly.
