Buffalo's Second Annual Going Green Day will be this Saturday at Pamida.
The Buffalo Chamber of Commerce had organized last year's celebration, but were unable to do this year's events with the RMI Roundup and a number of other events that they are committed to, so Buffalo's Pamida has stepped up to put on this year's Going Green Day events.
Audrey Semm, with Pamida, tells us more about the day-long event, which celebrates both Arbor Day and Earth Day.
Street Chalking with an Arbor day/Earth Day theme will kick the day off from 9am to 10am in the Pamida parking lot, and then from 10 to 4 they will give away the reusable bags that can be used for discounts at area stores, seedlings by the Lake DeSmet Conservation District, recycling of both materials and oil, free refreshments and free stuff from bikes to posters to DVDs, all with a conservation theme.
The event is sponsored by Pamida, the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce, Pepsi, the Lake DeSmet Conservation District and Bald Mountain Sanitation.
