Buffalo's city council passed a Resolution approving submission of an application for a business-ready community grant for development and improvements of Lobban Avenue and Benteen and Fetterman Streets.
At their Tuesday meeting, the council was presented the Resolution for approval but councilmen Dave Long and Russ Humphrey had questions concerning the project.
Both councilmen said they were in favor of re-surfacing the street, but saw no reason to apply for a grant for the sidewalks, curb and gutter and other improvements to the area.
The council discussed the issue further.
The grant application was approved on a 3-2 vote of the council, with Humphrey and Long casting the “nay” votes.
