After information was compiled from the sports complex survey in last week's Buffalo Bulletin and the survey from the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce's website, results were in favor of the complex by more than a two-to-one margin.
According to the information compiled by City Planner Zach Montgomery, 708 responses were sent in, with 478 (or 68 percent) in favor of the complex, and 229 (or 32 percent) opposed.
City councilman Russ Humphrey asked Montgomery how he could be sure the results were not tainted, and how could he be sure that someone in favor of the complex didn't just buy a bunch of newspapers and fill out the surveys to send in, because no one was required to put any personal information on the surveys they returned. The council and Montgomery discussed the matter.
Input from city and county citizens will be taken at all public meetings regarding the issue.
The next public meeting is scheduled for July 21, 6 p.m. at the Buffalo High School Auditorium.
