Buffalo Councilman Arraigned On Possession Charges In Gillette

Buffalo City Councilman Justin Gerard was arraigned in Campbell County Circuit Court Thursday afternoon for possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute. Gerard has been held in the Campbell County Detention Center since his arrest on Tuesday.

Gerard was arrested after a routine traffic stop incited a K-9 search of the vehicle, which yielded two ounces of marijuana.

Gerard's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, and he was released on a $2500 personal assurity bond.
