After members of the Buffalo/Johnson County Recycling Joint Powers Board discussed concerns with the Johnson County Commissioners and members of the Buffalo City Council last week, they made a request of the county and city to help pay for a $4,000 engineering bill and a new heating system for the new recycling center.
After discussions later in their meeting, the commissioners approved paying half of the bills, amounting to $4,500.
That left the City of Buffalo to decide whether they were willing to pay the other half of the bills.
At their council meeting that evening, the subject was discussed and then tabled until their next meeting
The council is not sure which account the money will come out of should they decide to fund the request at the July 19 meeting.
