At last week's City Council Meeting the Buffalo City Council approved a request for repairs on the roof of the city-owned Buffalo Children's Center building.
Kim Pope, new director of the facility, said the roof has been leaking for a number of years and repairs had been performed but it is still leaking.
She has tried to have the roof inspected but so far has not had any luck getting anyone to do so.
City Building Inspector Toby Rhoads has inspected the roof and told the council it appears that the leak is in the flashing seal between an upright wall and the roof area. He believes the roof is just a few years old, based on its appearance and that depending on what is found during an inspection, it could possibly be a repair and not a replace project.
Mayor Randy Dyess asked Pope to have the roof professionally inspected and keep the council updated on the project.
