Buffalo Council OKs Board Hopefuls, Street Closure

Two vacancies on the Buffalo Planning and Zoning Board were filled by the City Council at their last meeting.
Steve Reimann was re-approved for another three-year term on the board and Craig Cope was approved to serve out an unexpired term.

The Buffalo Chamber of Commerce made a request for a street closure of Main Street from Fort to Angus Streets Halloween afternoon from 3 to roughly 6:30 for the annual Monster March.

Rachel McCaughey with the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce, organizers for the Monster March, explained why they were requesting the street closure.

Between 800 and 900 kids participate in the Monster March every year, according to the Chamber.

The council approved the street closure downtown from 3 o'clock until Police Chief Jason Carder was satisfied it was safe to re-open.
