Buffalo Council Discusses City Pool Issues

The Buffalo City Council, at their last meeting, voted to table a request from Heather Eklund with the Buffalo Pool Board for funds to purchase equipment for the city pool from the Buffalo Charitable Foundation.

The request was tabled to give the Pool Board an opportunity to review the request and submit another request through the proper channels.

Also discussed was a concrete slab the Pool Board has been wanting in front of the main entrance to the pool.

Board member Bill Weber, Sr. brought the subject to the council at their last meeting.

Weber said the gravel at the front gate has caused problems for ambulance crews that have responded to the pool and that gravel at the entrance is being tracked into the pool itself which can cause problems with the filtering system. He would like to see the concrete slab poured before next summer if possible.

City Works Director Les Hook explained how far the project has progressed so far.

The council approved Hook to perform the work once the weather improves enough to get it done.
