Buffalo's City Council, at their Tuesday meeting, awarded the contract for the design of the Crazy Woman Square project to Hein/Bond Architects of Casper, at the request of City Planner Zach Montgomery.
The City received eight proposals for the design of the square, and the Vision Buffalo Commission acted as the selection committee.
According to Montgomery, the VBC reviewed and ranked all of the proposals and narrowed the selections down to Nelson Engineering and Hind/Bond Architects. They interviewed both applicants and settled on Hind/Bond.
Proposals were opened September 30th, and interviews were conducted October 12th. Design of the square should be completed by March 15th, 2012 and construction completed by December 15th, 2012.
