The Northwest Water Pipeline Project bid was awarded to Northstar Energy by the Buffalo City Council at their Tuesday meeting.
City Works Director Les Hook gives more details on the bids received on the project.
Bids ranging from Northstar's low bid to over $3.6 million were submitted.
The $2.5 million bid was over $900,000 below the engineer's estimate of roughly $3.5 million.
The project will consist of nearly 4.3 miles of pipeline and a 500,000-gallon storage tank. It is a joint project between the City of Buffalo, Johnson County and the Wyoming Water Development Commission.
