The Johnson County Fire District approached the City of Buffalo with a request for a name change on the city street where the fire district is located.

At the city council meeting last week, the request was approved. Buffalo City Planner Zach Montgomery explains the Resolution.

The Resloution will change the name of Fusion Avenue to Volunteer Avenue, and Johnson County Fire District No.1 will pay costs associated with the name change, Montgomery said.

Also approved at the meeting were Resolution No. 1313 which will approve a Lot split on the Intermountain Construction Materials property on North Bypass Road, with the stipulation that ICM install water and sewer lines on the newly created Lot before either Lot can be sold by ICM.

Resolution No. 1315 was approved which was a paperwork correction on the land sold by WyDOT on West Fort Street to Johnson County for the new criminal justice center complex. It was discovered that the Lot was sold and deeded without the new plat being filed and the Resolution corrected the issue.
