Buffalo's City Council, at Tuesday's meeting, voted to approve Resolution No. 1347, to submit a grant application to the Wyoming Water Development Commission (WWDC) to replace an existing outdated water supply line.
The line is the same outdated, asbestos line on the south end of Buffalo that broke recently, cutting water off to the high school and shutting school down for a day while the line was repaired.
Mayor Randy Dyess explained further at the meeting.
The $750,000 project will be split, if the WWDC awards the grant, at 66% grant, 34% local match, which will make the city's portion $255,000 for the project.
The grant application is due to the WWDC Thursday, September 20th.
