Buffalo Council Approves Letter Of Intent For YMCA

The Johnson County Family YMCA, represented by Director Mike Quast, brought a Letter Of Intent before the city council Tuesday night for their review and approval.

The Letter Of Intent was drafted to continue the agreement for the YMCA to operate the city-owned recreation site, after the proposed renovations are completed on the facility.

The Letter specifies the city will retain ownership of an expanded and renovated facility, continue to lease under the current structure to the YMCA, and for the city to continue considering requests for funding as they have done in the past, and when needed, to be able to ask for assistance for from the city's building maintenance fund.

The agreement is an extension of the existing agreement.

The council voted unanimously to approve the Letter Of Intent to continue the city's agreement with the YMCA.
