Johnson County News Director for Sheridan Media, Aaron Palmer, brings us this preview for the next Buffalo City Council meeting.
At Buffalo's City Council meeting on Tuesday, an update on the new wastewater treatment plant will be given to the council. Mayor Randy Dyess said after he talked to engineers on the project Monday that work on the plant is progressing.
In other council business, they will make appointments to various boards on recommendations from the mayor.
Bob Snowden, of the Commerce Park Joint Powers Board, will make a presentation on the sewage lift station.
The Buffalo Trails Board will discuss the extension of the Clear Creek Trail through Mosier Gulch.
The council will hear a request concerning the upcoming NABO Basque Festival from Ryan Fieldgrove.
Police procedures and the youth drug problem will be discussed by Jonna Nimick and the council.
And Ordinance No. 1346 will be introduced that, if passed, would change the time of the council meetings. The Ordinance was suggested by councilman Russ Humphrey, who has unsuccessfully tried numerous times to change in recent years.
Mayor Dyess said he has no preference on when the meetings happen.
The meeting will be Tuesday beginning at 4 pm in City Hall.
