At the last Buffalo City Council meeting, Building Inspector Toby Rhoades gave a short report to the council, saying that 9 building permits had been issued in the two weeks prior to the meeting.
He said work on a new picnic shelter had begun and would be completed sometime in August. The new picnic shelter is located between the tennis and the pool near the band shell in Washington Park.
City Planner Zach Montgomery reported that all punch-list items have been completed on the Crazy Woman Square Project.
Stucco on the Margo's Pottery Building has been completed and the mural is in the process of being painted there.
Hugh Jennings has completed the molds for his bronze statues and plaques that will be placed in the square later this summer.
The Heritage Bridge restoration project is scheduled to be completed sometime in August.
Montgomery also reported that the punch-list on the Sports Fields Complex is complete and the entire project is now substantially complete. City crews will be p[lacing barrier boulders in the facility and will be watering/fertilizing the grass and completing other aesthetic improvements on the site.
The next scheduled city council meeting will be this Thursday, August 8th at 5pm in City Hall.
