Appointments to and resignations from commissions and boards were addressed at last week's Buffalo City Council meeting.
The Council was set to accept the resignations of Robert Zimmershied and Patty Reid from the Main Street Commission, when Mayor Randy Dyess suddenly received a third resignation.
After accepting the resignations, Dyess presented his appointments to the Vision Buffalo Commission for Council consideration, when Councilman Bruce Hepp addressed the current procedures involving appointments and resignations, saying they could have been handled better.
After the discussions, the Council voted to accept the mayor's appointments.
Also at the meeting, the Council voted to renew their health insurance with their current company, after getting a quote of a 7.5 percent increase in premiums.
And Helen Hockett with the Buffalo Gals Red Hat Society requested the council approve a parade of the Red Hat Society when they have their state convention in Buffalo in September. The council approved the request.
