At the last city council meeting, Buffalo City Attorney Ben Kirven
gave the council an update on the wastewater treatment plant and the dispute between the city and the contractor, Hydro Construction, that built the facility.
Some problems with the facility have been found, such as a tear in the liner of one of the sewage lagoons, and the city and the contractor are at odds over who is responsible for repairing them.
The city has contacted the bonding company of the contractor, The Hartford, to have them hopefully help resolve the dispute.
Kirven explains further.
Although nothing is scheduled as yet, representatives for all entities involved will more than likely want to inspect the plant during the “walk-through,” according to Kirven.
