An annual Holiday tradition in Buffalo is set to kick off on Monday, as the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce and area businesses begin selling Christmas Buttons.
Purchasing a colorful, decorative and collectible button entitles the owner to discounts at area merchants and a chance to win Buffalo Bucks that can be used like cash at area stores.
Chamber Director Angela Jarvis explains further.
The funds earned from button sales also help with costs for Holiday happenings during the season, she said.
The Chamber pays for advertising the events, as well as for the annual parade and chili feed.
This year, the Chili Feed and Christmas Parade will be Saturday, December 3rd, with other happenings throughout the day.
Merchants will be participating in the 3-2-1 sales; you can get your picture taken with Santa from 10 am - 5:45 pm at Cooley Images; the Chili Feed starts at 4 pm and the parade begins at 6.
Christmas Buttons are only $5 each and can be purchased at area businesses and at the Chamber of Commerce.
